The property includes a one bedroom apartment nested in an ancient palazzo dating back to the early middle ages and a large terraced garden overlooking the valley and the Apenines. Carefully restored in recent years, the house features splendid cross-barrel vaults in exposed terra cotta bricks and is open onto one of the most beautiful hanging gardens that cling to the old town.

A large terrace, contiguous to the apartment, overlooks the spacious garden, where you are surrounded by mediterranean specimens. From here a stair leads to the wide terraced garden stepping gently down to the edge of ancient defensive wall still containing the city today. The garden is densely planted with century old trees and is dotted with seating and sunbathing areas. The house has exclusive use of the garden.

Scarcely changed over the centuries, the view you enjoy from here is one of the most famous in Italian literature, having been celebrated by Giacomo Leopardi in his verses, largely considered masterpieces of lyric poetry.
